Listen to Your Leaders
Many people complain about decisions that leaders make and it is good to know that you have the support of leadership above you. Of course, this does not allow excuse for stupid decisions. There are times you may need to answer for a wrong decision and make it right, if possible.
With the changing times and methods many questions arise concerning the use of certain types of music or props used in children’s ministry and this is a valid concern. At times, an adult would complain to Brother Tenney about something they did not understand or agree with. Brother Tenney would have me listen to the concern and investigate the legitimacy of the complaint. After listening to all parties involved a decision would be made concerning that compliant.
Another time a speaker thought I had not reimbursed him properly for travel expenses and complained to Brother Tenney about it. He spoke to me about the matter and when I explained my position on the situation, he allowed me to make the decision as I saw fit.
