Historically, SS has been a good idea for ministers. However, benefits received in the past were based on there being more workers in the work place and fewer people receiving benefits. Since this ratio is changing, changes will have to be made in the future. Taxes will increase, benefits may be cut, the rate of increase may decrease, benefits may be denied to people of higher income brackets and maybe even higher ages before a person can retire. Therefore SS should only be seen as a supplement to retirement.
